Guys,
I have tried to get in contact with the Scout hut people over the weekend. I have the following message from him that was sent to my work adress:
Hi Chris,
Best time for me to meet up with you at present would be before this mondays use of Scout Centre.
If thats ok I will be there from about 6:15pm onwards and maybe we can discuss things and get the ball rolling.
Al
From this I assume that we are OK to use the hut this week. We are the only meeting they have on a Monday so it all should be OK.
The adress is:
Logans Way, off St. Andrews Road,
Chesterton.
See you there,
Chris |

Yes, look at the St of St Andrews street, go down and right about an inch and its the oblong grey thing next to the car park thing
Its a good venue, the parking on the visitors car park is a little on the tight side for cars by the way... |

Thanks to the committee for sorting out the new venue at such short notice. After the problems at the football club, we seem to have fallen on our feet. The new hall is excellent (and my Byzantines won a game for once last night ).

Glad you liked the hall Simon and that you won your game (and sorry that you didn't Chad).
I'd like to thank you all for turning up and making for a really good night at our new venue. The Scouts are really behind us and we will be sorting out a written contract for the halls rent next week. We should therefore be fine for the foreseable future.
Thanks to Richard for running the snack and drinks.
Hope to see you all next week, including those who didn't make it,
Chris |

| We really need the front page updated to reflect the new location. |

Hey everybody,
I am new to Cambridge and interested in joining the Games club. My baggage allowance didn't quite permit bringing my Warhammer army so I am wondering, do you also play Eurogames/Ameritrash games or are you completely focussed on Wargames? (I own "Battleground: Fantasy Warfare", that one i could put into my carry-on, but that's about it)
Also, do you still meet regularly? The websites seems a bit unmaintained. |

Yes we play all sorts. Boardgames included - I believe a game of Battlestar Galactica got played last night, the week before we did some Epic scale Commands and Colors, I have also dragged along and played Agricola, Power Grid, Caylus, Chaos in the Old World, Formula D, Stone Age, Roll through the Ages etc etc - you get the idea - we do get to see plenty of board games as well as the wargames. The club started with miniature wargames and that is its core.
Wargames that are played are mostly Flames of War and Field of Glory at the moment but also in the lasy year I have seen Fire and Fury, Principles of War, Victory at Sea, General Quarters, Kiss Me Hardy, assorted GW stuff including Epic and Full Thrust.

The answer is yes - we do meet regularly - the forums are really the active bit of the site. _________________ My Lord Vader, the Death Star flans are NOT in the main refridgerator

| That sounds good. So the venue is still this Scout Centre? Is it necessary to sign up anywhere before I drop by or take anything with me? |

Nothing formal like that, no - first night is free but thereafter Andy just wanders round and leeches the nightly 3quid out of each of as during the evening.
Just let us know to expect a new player and we'll be expecting you and try and have a space reserved in some game or other for you to get into while you don't know anyone to arrange anything beforehand. Also makes sure that we are expecting someone hanging around outside looking slightly lost and looking for gamers - as opposed to looking for the Scouts themselves or one of the other groups that use the hall on various nights.
